Maui Eats: Da Kitchen

Looking for an amazing Hawaiian Plate Lunch in Maui...look no further than Da Kitchen!

Delicious plates of locally sourced meats, seafood and produce...oh and spam...you are in Hawaii so embrace it!  My husband and I LOVE getting off the plane, grabbing our rental car and filling up on a fish basket (whole fish) or Teriyaki Beef.  After an early flight (little to no breakfast) that takes just over 5 hours (snacks on the plane no lunch) we're HUNGRY!

This is also great after a long morning of swimming...especially if you plan to hit the beach again after you eat...that's what we do!

I know she is called "Scuba Gal" but...no tank and a snorkel mask makes me think she's a snorkel girl like myself!  I spend my swim time finding my turtle buddies...last year the hubby spotted an octopus that we followed for what seemed like forever...and seeing if I can spot anything we haven't discovered in years past.  Basically my backside is super tan by the end of our stay!

Wear something over the top that represents you...just do it in a tasteful way.

Maui Eats: Kihei Cafe

I found my favorite breakfast spot when traveling to Maui with my oldest sister and her now husband...he was a last minute add to the trip...and lets just say I had a lot of alone time to explore!

Now I take my husband...and we're totally addicted!

What you should know...
1. This place is cash only...they have an ATM but it runs out of cash from time to time so come prepared!
2. This place is POPULAR...get in line...and don't save seats!
3. This is Maui...EVERYTHING is expensive...you're on vacation so just enjoy yourself!
4. This is a Cafe...not a gourmet restaurant...the food here is really good...some is even amazing...but if you're looking to have your mind blown you should pass.

The hubby and I love to share one of us get something sweet...the other something savory and we're good to go until late afternoon for lunch!  

*Secret tip...if you don't see the Cinnamon Roll French Toast on the menu ask for it...they might just hook you up!

I'm loving Juicy Couture's Summer Charms!  Mine are all quite a few years old...but all have meaning...I do love this volleyball charm but personally I would need a water polo ball (ah hem @JuicyCouture)...over the past ten yeas I've become obsessed with flamingos...and I'm a bit of a mermaid in that I'll get in the water and stay put for the majority of the day!
