Miss Fitness

I've been athletic...since I can remember really.  I did it all...Basketball, Softball, Dance, Ice Skating, Swimming, Gymnastics and more...falling in love with Water Polo in the end.  That being said I never looked the part...that's right...I'm the chubby girl everyone underestimates!

I was always confidant in my ability but felt like I always had to prove myself...working out at the gym was annoying because I always felt like people thought I looked out of place until they saw what I could do...

I found that dressing like a legit athlete when I went to the gym made me feel more confidant...I looked good and felt good working out so I let the rest go!  One of my biggest gripes at the gym is peoples attire...jeans...are you serious?  Athletic wear is available in every price point...lets get the proper gear on here people!

I found Firedaughter Clothing when a friend of mine posted her "Wake Up and Run" sweatshirt on Pinterest, come on it's SO CUTE!  Get yours here http://www.etsy.com/people/FiredaughterClothing ...and tell the world you Work Out!

  2. You've done a great job proving yourself. Sometimes you just have to ignore other people's criticism, and be yourself. Anyway, so how did it go? Do you still workout? You've shared a nice selection of tank tops here.

    1. Hi Nicolas,
Gym working out...it's been longer than I'd like. That being said I have been going on long bike rides, I have a three speed beach cruiser, and I just completed the San Francisco Aids Walk...a 10K. Watching the Olympics this past week has me determined to get back into the pool so I can join a local team again...I'll hit the weight room too to work on my buffness! Here's a little shoot of my recent workout gear if you care to check it out http://polishedplus.blogspot.com/2012/05/i-work-out.html ...thanks for popping by!

    2. Going back to the pool is a great idea, Lanae. Swimming keeps your heart rate up (but!) takes some of the impact of stress off of your body. :) Most importantly, it's one of the perfect places to bond.
