From time to time I catch the nickname "Sunshine" be it in truth or sarcasm...so I love this iPhone case for that reason...but I also love that the gold finish also doubles as a mirror...something I never seem to have on me.  Now I can put my lipstick on using my phone case instead of using my phones camera!

Well...sorta.

I recently joined the "in crowd" and got an iPad mini!  Super fun times...if you don't count the letdown of losing my unlimited data due to my phone upgrade plus additional device. Lets just say I now understand the need for wi-fi...sigh.

Naturally I want to keep my new device protected...and why not do it in style?!  I fell in love with this sleeve from Kate Spade NY the moment I saw it...when you tilt and move it around the legs move/dance...so cute!  

I will say it was HARD to find a great iPad mini cover...and I looked a bunch.  Here's hoping my new device will get me posting more often...I have so much I want to share!

Sammiches

Legit...I wanted to high five the man that made my sammich today.  

I get that this is a Fashion, Lifestyle and Beauty blog....but...part of my lifestyle is eating and I feel like I need to share this with you.

Today, while in West Oakland California...shopping for a snorkel mask...totally normal activity...I needed a meal of food.  Yelp App to the rescue...the hubby wanted "something with bread" and we landed on sandwiches.  Search: Sandwiches and "Current Location" and I select Genova Delicatessen & Ravioli. AMAZING!

Only problem...I'm ruined!  Now I'm a sandwich snob...I can only have the best and it's harder than you think to get an amazing sandwich.  I can think of my top five places and Genova's is included...my other faves...I guess you'll have to follow my blog to find out!

If you're in Oakland, CA and hungry you can't go wrong here...shoot...now I want another sammich!

Yet another place I must stop in at while in Paia on the island of Maui.  Wings Hawaii is danger for your bank account...and a blessing for your wardrobe!

Maui Eats: Mama's Fish House

With each visit to Maui, I was always hearing amazing things about Mama's...but always attached to the ravings were warnings of high prices.  Having married a foodie that had never been to the island...I knew when I took him to Maui we'd have to go.  Well worth the expense...this new addiction is our vacation tradition.  That saying "You get what you pay for."...Mama's doesn't disappoint!

Tips:
1. Make a reservation on OpenTable as they fill up quickly no matter the time of day.
2. Going to dinner?  Make an early reservation so you can enjoy the sunset.  Don't feel like eating early?  Arrive early so you can enjoy the sunset and scenery.
3. Want to try this stop on a budget?  Skip the drinks, these can shave a good chunk off of your bill!  You won't regret your visit!
4. Celebrating something?  Let them know...the extra details they'll include make your visit that much more memorable.
5. Paia is windy...you'll get to watch windsurfers and kite boarders off in the distance, but that can also mean cooler climates so don't forget a sweater!

Maui Eats: Da Kitchen

Looking for an amazing Hawaiian Plate Lunch in Maui...look no further than Da Kitchen!

Delicious plates of locally sourced meats, seafood and produce...oh and spam...you are in Hawaii so embrace it!  My husband and I LOVE getting off the plane, grabbing our rental car and filling up on a fish basket (whole fish) or Teriyaki Beef.  After an early flight (little to no breakfast) that takes just over 5 hours (snacks on the plane no lunch) we're HUNGRY!

This is also great after a long morning of swimming...especially if you plan to hit the beach again after you eat...that's what we do!

I know she is called "Scuba Gal" but...no tank and a snorkel mask makes me think she's a snorkel girl like myself!  I spend my swim time finding my turtle buddies...last year the hubby spotted an octopus that we followed for what seemed like forever...and seeing if I can spot anything we haven't discovered in years past.  Basically my backside is super tan by the end of our stay!

Wear something over the top that represents you...just do it in a tasteful way.
